INGREDIENTS
- 2-3 cans of Bush’s original baked beans
- 1 can kidney beans
- 1 can Great Northern beans
- 1 can butter beans
- 1 lb browned ground beef
- 1/2 lb cooked bacon
- chopped onion
- 2-4 Tbs brown sugar
- 4 Tbs ketchup
- 2 Tbs mustard
- 2 Tbs cornstarch (optional)
DIRECTIONS
- This recipe can be made in the slow cooker & baked in the oven.
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown up the ground beef with the chopped onion. Drain the fat.
- Fry or bake up the bacon.
- To your slow cooker or baking dish add in all the cans of beans, drained with cooked ground beef and bacon broken into pieces. Mix.
- Mix in brown sugar, ketchup, and mustard.
- If you want a thicker sauce mix in 2 Tbs cornstarch with water.
- If cooking in a slow cooker, cook on low for 3-4 hrs or high for 2.
- If you prefer to cook in the oven, bake at 350°F covered for 25 minutes.
